Davenport plays host to the following annual festivals: The Mississippi Valley Blues Festival, The River Rockin’ Ribfest, the Celtic Highland Games of the Quad Cities, The Mississippi Valley Fair, The Quad City Air Show, The Bix Biederbecke Memorial Jazz Festival and the Bix 7 foot race.
There are four golf courses in the city, with many more in the surrounding area. The courses in the city are Duck Creek, Red Hawk, Emeis, and Credit Island.
For family fun, Wacky Waters Adventure Park on North Fairmount is a popular destination. This water park features a wave pool, a pirate ship, water slides, go-carts, bumper boats, and miniature golf.
The city park and recreation department maintains twenty-seven city parks which encompass a total of about 2200 acres. These parks offer swimming pools, tennis courts, biking trails, playgrounds and athletic fields.
